How It All Began
I’m Yaz - wife, mum of three and the hands and heart behind Ayla & Lara. Our story began in 2020, in the beginning of a world that had suddenly slowed down. I was working in the travel industry, helping people plan their dream getaways - until the pandemic shifted everything. With the world on pause and creativity calling, I decided to make a night light for my daughter Ayla.
That simple project lit the spark that became Ayla & Lara.
A Small Start With Big Dreams
What started in our spare room, surrounded by kids, toys, unfolded laundry and cups of cold coffee, grew into a family-run business filled with purpose. Today, we work from our cosy studio but our mission remains the same: to create timeless, meaningful keepsakes that help families honour the moments that matter.
